Come golf with the legends at the epic golf course located at the Broadmoor! Located in the Cheyenne Mountain foothills of Colorado Springs, this golf course boasts an impressive resume, being consistently ranked among the best in the world. It’s no wonder, considering the course was designed by two golf legends, Donald Ross and Robert Trent Jones Sr. This course has seen many historic golf shoes cross it’s green, including “Long Jim” Barnes, James Gullane, Jimmy Thomson, Ed Dudley, and Dow Finsterwald.
Originally opening in 1918, at the time it was the highest golf course in the world at 6,400 feet above sea level. The golf course is part of the dream of the original founder, Spencer Penrose, who wanted to turn his rough Colorado Springs mountain property into a world-renowned luxury resort. The original course was designed in 1916, but in the late 40s and early 50s, Penrose expanded the course in order to provide his clients with even more amazing opportunities for an epic day of golf.
This course has hosted numerous national tournaments, including the 2018 U.S. Women’s Open and multiple PGA Cup Matches. Presidents, politicians, celebrities, and athletes have come from far and wide to experience the challenge of the Broadmoor golf course, and have not been disappointed. Come for a relaxing day of golf, or grow your skillset with professional instruction, the Broadmoor entertains world travelers and local adventurers alike!
